The Zingaro nature reserve stretches for about 7 km in a scenario where land and sea merge. Finding the appropriate words to define it is an understatement, you will be fascinated by the young wild boar that roam free on the coast, from the different species of birds that nest in the territory and from the manifold variety of native plants and trees. You will also be fascinated by the sea which is colored with unexpected tones of green and blue, the rocky foreshortenings that separate the various beaches, the Mediterranean scrub that seems to dive into the waters of the reserve and the ancient farmhouses built on the rock.
The Riserva dello Zingaro is perfectly accessible to all, there are three main routes: the first, extending along the coast from one limit to another of the reserve, is the most popular and also the least demanding, the second, a little more strenuous, it zigzags the territory, crossing the coast and the peaks, while the third is reserved for the more athletic, and crosses the whole Zingaro from top to bottom.
The only rule to follow within the Reserve is: do not soil, respect the animals and their territory.
