We did the Favignana and Levanzo tour with Skipper Giuseppe who was skilled, professional and showed us all a spectacular view of the islands. Our family included myself and two girls ages 8 and 11. We all loved it. In addition, there were four other adults and 2 children. It helped to have a group that got along well and were equally ready to explore. Most of the group and the skipper had some knowledge of English to fill in the gaps of my Italian. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day! Each stop allowed for plenty of time to swim and snorkel in the crystal blue waters. The scenery was spectacular—rocky coastlines, coastal villages, and time to walk around the port of Favignana. I recommend stopping for granita at one of the port restaurants during your walk. Lunch was on board the boat in the port of Favignana and was a simple, but delicious meal with local tuna recipes, rice, fruit, pastry and wine. My girls enjoyed the speed of the fast boat and rode on the bow as we sped across the waves between islands. A wonderful adventure! Food, water, snorkel gear were plenty and available. However, I do recommend the following: - Sunscreen (shade is only available during stops) - Bring a few snacks/fruit for yourself, especially with small children. - Watch out for jellyfish, consider a wet skin or shirt for some protection. (No one was stung, but we saw a couple and avoided easily—you’re in the open sea, not a controlled environment.) The small group, skilled skipper, and fast boat all made for a wonderful day. We were only in Sicily for a few days, and this was one of the key highlights. I highly recommend.
